FOURTH MESSAGE (Part I)

Let us pray. This is an important hour. Man has reached his destination, as never before in the history of man. We have talked about the planets and other things, and have so many funny, foolish stories, like the moon was made of cheese. But man has reached that place where it was thought incredible for man to be. He has not only landed, he is just going to step the first foot on the moon. So let us consider where has the Bride reached today? Surrender your life to God. If man in his knowledge could do that, we with the power of God can do much better. Having listened to that life which God wants you to lead, let us pray and rededicate our lives and look to God.

Loving Saviour, we thank you for this evening. When man is at the height of his scientific knowledge, and in this day he has attained in his life, that which they have been seeking for centuries, thousands of years. Now Lord, we believe that you have been trying to get at man, to reach man, to make him immortal. People have been dying, Lord, every man and woman, born of woman, have died in this world. They have gone away unto dust from where they came. But now, Lord, You have come to the place; when You are taking that dust to immortal life. Just like that immortal God came down to become mortal with men, You have taken mortal men to be immortal with thee. Lord, help us to understand; let the Bride hear thy voice, Lord, let us understand that troublous times are coming again. That a persecution which never a man has seen in this world is coming. At the same time, we know that you are coming for the Bride, and taking your Bride away. Father, let the power of God strike us today. Help us to be serious with thee. Help us not to be playful; laughing about; fooling about; but know the greatness of God. Bless each one of us. Before this meeting is over, make us something immortal, Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.

Sit down, please. Revelation 10:5,6 - "And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer".

Praise be to the name of Jesus Christ. Everything has a time. Everything in this world, hinges on that word called SATISFACTION. Why is man troubling himself in this life? Works each day morning to evening. All because of the stomach, mostly. Suppose God never created in man a stomach? There won’t be any business in the world. Now see, what man has done for his stomach throughout this world. Big buildings, tooth paste business, Pop corn, Christmas shopping. Then there are dairy farms, ships, aeroplanes, all over the world. If only God did not create stomach for man, there won’t be any business in this world. Just imagine! The whole thing hinges on that. Why do you work? To get money. What is the money for? To fill your stomach etc.

But does it SATISFY us? We came into this world, as young people, babies; but notice the hand of God. Before we were born, we are inside the mother, He prepared a nice velvet case inside, but when the baby comes, that baby did not ever worry, what is going to happen. But God created hands to receive her. When she cannot move her hand or legs, and cannot walk about, God prepared four hands, father and mother, to lift that child; till the child is able to walk. But if you go into the desert, or farm, the sheep, when a birth comes, immediately the lamb walks. Man is not like that. Man is never satisfied. If he will only think, throughout this world of what God has done for man, he won’t be ungrateful.

That is why God said, "the ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master’s crib: but my people do not know me". What is the reason? Why this complaint of God against him? Because man does not realize what a great God he has, and that He has prepared everything for him. If there is no oxygen then he will die, but there is oxygen, water, sunlight, everything. All is measured; it mustn’t be too much. Too much cold will kill him, too much heat will kill him. Also two-thirds of the earth’s surface is water, but if that should come and fill the whole earth, there won’t be any earth any more. We have seen whole countries going down under the water, big countries. In India, there is a Sind Valley culture 3000 years ago. That country just went down.

All the countries have been big. Civilization started in China. China had its day. India had its day. India had times to boast about. And other countries had their day, Egypt had its day. Greece had its day, Rome had its day, Europe had its day, England had its day. Now the sun is coming to the United States and is about to set and to go down. These are the last days. Civilization has come so far, it has become uncivilization. You know, Adam and Eve were naked; now nudity has come to this day. Civilization has gone so far, that man has come to nakedness.

If India has a food shortage, America has a clothing shortage. You say food shortage. I say cloth shortage? Everybody is naked all over the place, and they don’t have cloth. So I asked a man, ‘Brother, you have got cloth shortage?’ ‘No, we have got cloth’. ‘Then why are these people going around naked like this?’ In India, they don’t have cloth shortage, because everyone has long dresses. So we have plenty of cloth, America and other countries have no cloth. So dresses are coming up and up and up.

So there is time no longer, to fool about. What the angel said is, there shall be time no longer. No longer for everybody. Not just for one person. But if you will notice for the Bride, it is time no longer, there is no time factor for the Bride. If Jesus comes into you, that Holy Ghost comes into you, you have got no time. You know, it is eternity - if you can only think that. You know I have been thinking always, when they said time no longer, I thought in another way that afterwards there is no time. But for the Bride, after this there is no time factor. There is no time factor for the Bride, it is eternity. There are two kinds of people, foolish virgins and virgins. But for the foolish virgins, time is over, everything is finished. They will say, God has come from the mercy seat, everything is gone for them. For the Bride, God is living today among us. For us, there is mercy. For us, everything is here.

So this word, satisfaction, is that the whole thing hinges on. The whole world is hanging on that. What is satisfaction? Now a man eats, goes to a hotel, nice beef steak, eats and eats. The food comes up to the throat, here. Then they say, all right. He is satisfied. You know, some people say if he has a little space left, he will eat another beef steak. I remember the time before conversion, I used to go and eat and eat and eat, like a buffalo. There won’t be any end for eating; eat in the home, eat in the hotel, eat in the friends’ house, come back and eat again, growing fatter and fatter and fatter. But never satisfied, because the stomach, you know, it will cry; start crying. When that is empty, it starts crying. So some people, they are subject to and are slaves to the stomach. Some people rule the stomach. If you are a slave to the stomach, it will go on eating and asking. But if I can rule the stomach, it will eat only when I say. That is something, brother. Otherwise, you know all around the world, there are some people who can’t live without eating. They are born for eating. But God’s people are not born for eating. They don’t live for eating, but they eat to live.

So this factor of time-no-longer means, we have come to a great day. Just now, man has reached his destination. You know, people say, the prophet said they won’t make it. But this morning I said, "They will land". It just came into my mouth. So I was a bit worried. Suppose something happens and the two men did not land, I am gone. It just came - you know. Sometimes you can know something. But the thing is, as in the early days, when man built the tower of Babel, God scattered the people. He came down. He did not destroy the tower, he came down and confounded the people, and they all were scattered throughout the world. In the same way, when the spiritual people who want to build a big tower, God came down and scattered them into denominations - Advent missions, Jehovah Witness, Pentecost, Brethren Mission, Lutheran Mission, this mission, that mission, hundreds and thousands. They all did not understand each other.

Now suppose you go to Germany, you don’t understand their language. So when I went to Germany I took my wife and I went, and they say, "Auf wieder sehan", that is all the German I know. Then everybody would shake their head, how are you, like that. You can’t talk, you feel a stranger. So the denominations, they say we believe in Jesus Christ; you go and talk to them and if you don’t say you belong to a denomination, you will be gone. I belong to Pentecost. Then that is the end. I belong to the Catholic religion, that is the end. I belong to Advent Mission, that is the end of your life to them. So many people say, don’t talk to me about denomination. But, we must belong to somebody because you are not your own. You are bought with a price. If somebody buys you, how can you call yourself your own? If you belong to a denomination or to the devil, the devil has a right on you. But if you belong to God, nobody has any right except God. On that day, you surrender your life. You are God’s.

Some people take God like a taxi. We pay money for a taxi. When our destination comes, you go away, and pay the money there; you are not worried about cleaning the car. But if somebody gives you a gift of a car, you will take it and clean it. If somebody says, ‘Will you lend me your car?’ ‘No, Brother. I don’t lend my car’. And a little dirt comes, you rub it, you clean your car. If you go to Jesus Christ like a taxi cab, on Sunday service, and just sit back, God doesn’t care for you. But if you give your body and soul, and spirit to God as a gift, then he’ll say, "He that toucheth you, touches the apple of my eye".

Remember in India, the ministry in India is not easy. You will go preach about Jesus Christ, they’ll come to kill you. In cerain places, your life is in danger. I remember once, I was preaching in a church and the meetings were going on. That was the first meeting - healing meeting - I started in Madras State. One big man came; he stood there and said: ‘I am lucifer’. I said, ‘Lucifer is here?’ He took his hand like this and said, ‘I will beat you on the cheek and powder you and break your teeth and all the teeth’, he said. So my wife was sitting there, my relatives, pastor and Assemblies of God Missionary. So I am a boxer and all, you know. So, suppose the fellow says: ‘let’s go with a blow’, what shall I do? So I am preaching with arms waving, "Praise God, God is wonderful". So if he comes to beat me, I am gesturing with my arms high, so I will be ready to ward off his blow, so that I can prevent it. And this fellow is saying, "See, I am going to beat you". So I said, "Praise God, God is wonderful", arms high, like that. But the people did not realize that I am doing that to defend myself. Then a voice came, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world". Is that true? I didn’t know it was true, I wanted to believe it. But the voice came. Then I said, "If you are with me unto the end of the world, you must be here". Then I took my hands down and spoke naturally. A light came and struck that man; he fell down. And somebody was beating him which I cannot see. And he is looking at some invisible man and saying, "I won’t trouble your servant, I won’t trouble your servant, don’t beat me!" But I couldn’t see anyone beating him there. But he was not looking at me, he was looking at my right side. I thought, why is he looking at my right side, because I am here? I looked to my right; Christ was standing there. "I am with you". And you say, the Bride won’t see Christ.

It is an experience. From that day, I was never afraid in my life. People will say: I will kill you. I will say, "You better come ahead". Next day, something happens to them. I remember at a big meeting of about 80,000, people one man comes with a big gang. He said, "I will take the Bible from you and tear it up". I said, "Here it is, tear it". Before he could take the Bible, he cried out like this "Ahhh". They carried him to the hospital. We have got a big God, my friends. But to have a big God, you have to make a big sacrifice. You go to a shop and try to buy something cheap for one dollar; you get one dollar stuff. But if you want to get a nice thing, you have to pay heavy. So this is not, anything which is lightly got is of little value. Anything for which you pay a high price is valuable. Because Jesus paid a high price for that, you have to pay a high price for that. And what do the people say, they want to go to Jesus Christ easily, have a comfortable time. If they don’t get food for even one day, they will leave their religion. For the sake of money, they will sell their religion and go to another religion.

But this we speak of is not a religion; this is our Bridegroom. He is attached to you in a different way like a wife and husband. He cares for you. He does everything for you, you don’t bother. He is the man who is doing all the things for you. Just sit and shut your mouth. You know what is the greatest thing for a man to do? To keep quiet and shut his mouth. If you see a child, it will never keep quiet. He will keep on doing that, doing this, acting like this, acting like that. So we are like children, we can’t keep quiet. But if we just keep quiet, we will be a mighty people. God wants us to keep quiet, doing nothing..... for the Lord to move through you. When YOU move, He doesn’t move. That is why He said, He is our arm, He is our will. He is our will and arm. What is an arm? When somebody comes and strikes you, you strike back. You use YOUR arm. But when you keep quiet, God uses His arm, and that arm is terrible. You will see, He will get a lesson. Did not God say "Keep quiet?" Other fellows will jump over their heads and you just sit quietly. In India many people tried to hit me, but every time God punishes.

I remember one lady in a big hospital, she got so wild for preaching of true Word that one time she came up, "Brother Lawrie, I am a wife of a big officer. You know who I am? I am your enemy. I will see that something happens to you". She went home, she got cancer. And she died crying...... both breasts. They operated, she never got out of the bed after that. So you can’t fight with God. You can’t fight with God’s power. You can fool about with denominations but not with the Bride.

So time no longer applies to everyone. For judgement, there is no more time. People say judgement won’t fall. It is going to fall because there is not much time left. Because according to Bro. Branham, the Chapter is closed by 1977 by the calender. He said, "I predict". So if tribulation comes in three and a half years, we are between 1973¹/₂ and 1969¹/₂. In this period, the Bride has to fit in. What are you going to do? That is why the foolish virgins say everything is finished......... God has no mercy. God is not dead; GOD HAS GOT MERCY! Don’t doubt God. Otherwise God won’t save hundreds of souls on that day.

I was in Ohio. A man came smoking and when he came smoking, everybody was seated; we preached there in the basement of a home. This man was sitting there, he was looking at me and staring. He was shivering. I didn’t know why. After the meeting, he came to me and said, "Bro. Lawrie, how is it that you disappeared on the platform". I said, "I was there". "No, you were not there". I said, "Are you talking nonsense?" "You were not on the platform. You were preaching. Then two lights came out of your eyes and struck me, like flames of fire. And after that I didn’t know what to do. You were not on the platform and somebody else was there and there was that big bright light."

I thought he was joking, you know. So he came to Bro. Leagh Vayle’s house in the morning and said, "Brother, what is that? I am shivering from that moment". Then Brother Vayle said: "Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus". "O.K. I will do anything for God, because God has touched me, I saw something different". He was baptized in water and with the Holy Spirit and healed right there of a disease. And what is that? God still has mercy. Just about two weeks or three weeks ago. And that man went home; he had a pack of cigarettes. He said, "I am going to give to some friend". Then something told him, "Why do you want to spoil your friend?" Then he went and put it in the dust bin. Then he had an ash tray in the home. The dog came and took the ash tray and chewed it. The dog went and chewed the cigarettes ash tray. Never before did it do that. And you say mercy seat is over?

But these days there are many preachers come to God’s Word and read from end to beginning and beginning to end and over again. Some people read books like this; they read gospels, they read Esther, they read Ruth, but when it comes to Leviticus, Exodus, "Oh! It is bitter". They come to Chronicles .... so many names. So and so begat so and so, so and so begat so and so, is very bad, you don’t want that. So we choose; pick and choose. But when you go to eat something, you have got all your food. You have got pickles, you have got pepper, you have got salt, all kinds of things. We eat all kinds of things. But in the Bible, you got pepper, you got salt, green pepper, red pepper, everything. Bitter, sweet, ice-cream, coca-cola, coffee, tea, everything is there. So, you eat the whole thing. You don’t spit out the bitter because everything has got power in your life.

The first thing when I got the Holy Ghost, I was praying to God, "Lord, show me the way". Preachers said, "Come on, Lawrie, preach". I said, "No, I want God to speak to me". People go on without God speaking to them. They do not know what they are doing. So when I was praying, suddenly I heard a voice, "Read my Word for power." That is when God first spoke to me. When He said read my Word for power, I got into my room three months. I never went out ... every day fifty chapters...... morning till evening ....... night 12 O’ clock. My wife brought some food in the afternoon, I never saw anybody........ locked the room. After three months, I came out. I was going on the road. People simply fell down on the ground when they saw me. Devils screamed. I said, "Why?" ....... three months Bible reading. And people say, "Oh! Brother, that is all over". They have got Spoken Word Books. You are surely going to be dropped out. Bro. Branham’s books are an explanation of the Word of God. But if he told anything wrong, check with the Bible. You are duty bound to check. Tha is what he said. "Check with the Bible and see whether I am wrong". Then if he is wrong, don’t take it. We are not bound to take anything wrong which is not in the Word of God. May be a slip of the tongue. Don’t take it. It may be some prediction. Thus Saith the Lord, never went wrong but something is his own views. I have my views, it has gone wrong.

So what you are to understand is, man is man. But man as God sometimes becomes man also. In the home, he becomes a man. In the pulpit, he will become God’s power. When I preach I am different, when I go home I am different. So you must understand how God speaks. When you read the Bible, you are Holy Ghost witnesses; that is from God. We have got many denominations in this world; everybody says we are on the Word of God. But how do you know if they are correct? By the Holy Ghost. The anointing of your God will tell you if they are wrong.

I know people who preach one God. Muslims preach Allah; One God theory ....... in South India, all over the place. But they do not know the same Jesus Christ who died for man is that Jehovah. That is the secret. They think He is the Son of God...... a small man. God came down as a man. BUT HE WAS GOD! But the day you realise that, you get the power of the Holy Ghost, where that name of Jesus is. He died for you; His blood washes your sins away. Otherwise you will be a sinner.

In 1943, when I opened my heart to Jesus Christ, I was a Communist. I had beaten missionaries. I went all over the place, running. I went to Hindu temples, I went to Muslim mosques. I went to Christian churches, all over wearing saffron robe, doing all kinds of funny things; and reading Quoran, reading all the Indian religions. I wanted an Indian God. I never knew that Jesus Christ was from Asia. You know, I said this is a white man’s God, I don’t want that God. One day I thought He was actually a white man’s God. But now I know He is not a white man’s God ....... not an Asiatic God ...... HE IS GOD. Without Him there is no salvation...... not even salvation ..... in any other name. You may think it funny, I thought like that. But when Jesus came into my life, it was something different and today I am happy.

So every man must be satisfied ........ devil must be satisfied ..... everybody must be satisfied. They must be satisfied. So man, for the stomach, he works hard day and night and he must be satisfied. Suppose you take a student. He studies in the college, works day and night. Studies in the mid-night. He burns the mid-night oil, then the examination comes. He goes down .... trembling. He writes the examination...... finishes. Then he gives the papers, then he waits for the results. When the results come ........ so and so passed the examination, he is satisfied. Suppose he failed? He feels the pain of all the suffering. If he passes, he doesn’t feel it.

Now they are going to the moon. Everybody had speculations, "Will they reach the moon? Will they reach the moon?" These are days when man should reach the moon because the Bible tells, even though as the eagle they build a nest in the stars, I will pull it down. Man will not only go to the moon, he will build a nest in the stars ....... in this age. In Bro. Branham’s age, he could not make it up. So you said, ‘He won’t make it up’. Now don’t be mistaken, Bro. Branham said, they won’t make it up in his age. But in this age, he will make it up. For Moses also said, they won’t make it up. But God’s people marched on. Because he has already landed. Now that means we are in a new era. Man thinks in a different way. Man thinks there is no God. Man thinks they will go to all the planets so they will live in other planets and preserve their seed when earth is destroyed (which man believes in this atomic age) he will yet live and be preserved; a sort of immortality in man’s view.

And what does the Bride do? She always thinks in a different way, she has crossed the barrier. What does she think? "There is no more death any more. There is eternity". Because for man, there is eternity in the space........ he thinks. But for the Bride, there is eternity in heaven. So you must pattern everything in this world; it is a shadow. Always there is a pattern. What do you see in the world? You know, God will work also according to the time of what is happening in this world. If man reaches the moon today, God also would have reached the earth today. I do not know how. You may say how. I do not know; it is the time for the Bride. For others it will be too late.

Somewhere in this world God will have touched people. They will be coming to a new realization. There is no time element for the Bride because there is no time factor for them. Because they have got something real. Then they feel something, not just jumping and shouting; they feel something different. "Oh!, it is eternity". And that is why the Bride cannot be killed easily; it cannot be killed because it is God. And who is their leader? Jesus Christ. Look to Jesus. He is our Leader today. And people seem to think everybody is a leader though not vindicated. How many are vindicated today? Now everybody just because they were with Bro. Branham, they start telling, "we are, we are, we are". But I will tell you, if God were to raise anybody, He would never raise him in America again. He raised the last man for you. If you don’t obey him, how are you going to obey if another man comes. Even if God Himself comes, you won’t obey.

So He finishes His work. God put the net and caught the people. As I told you, He is roaring now. So listen, he passes his examination like that and he is happy and satisfied. Now when a man does a business, he puts in a lot of money. Works day and night very carefully counting money, goes to the bank, everything, works day and night. Then at the end of the year, he takes an account, profit or loss. Suppose he has gained a lot, he will look like this, "Hey wonderful!". He will talk in a wonderful way. But suppose he lost $5000, 6 O’ clock face. You know there are two languages ...... Chinese you know, they read like this, they read like this, they have to read like this, backward; right to left. We read like this - left to right. This is yes, that is no. So our language is yes, yes. Their language is no, no, no. Even language is like that. One language, you are to read like this (up and down), another language you have to read like this (left to right).

So what happened? This business man, when he saw that he gained, he is a different man. He is satisfied. But suppose he lost, he is dissatisfied; he might even commit suicide, "Oh! Business is gone, business is gone". Why? No gain. If there is no gain, there is no satisfaction. So it is in everything. You play foot-ball. Now you play day and night, foot-ball practice, you have foot-ball; you kick the ball and take exercise and all kinds of exercise. After sometime, you want to get into a team and win the team. That is what you want.

Take a mother. She has a baby ...... such weight ..... baby in the stomach .... for nine months. Just imagine. She carries that baby all that while for nine months happily. But in all the pain ...... married people know what the pain for a mother has. And this fellow is jumping inside..... like carrying a big stone. Then after nine months, when the baby comes, she looks at the baby; wonderful child, Spotless. Will she think about her pain? No. But suppose the child dies or is deformed, she feels the pain in her for ten months ... suffering. She is not satisfied. But when the child is perfect and born and no trouble, then she is so happy. She never thinks about the pain. So satisfaction takes the pain away. Satisfaction takes all your worries away because when you are satisfied you are not worried about your trouble. That is the secret of life. The secret of life is satisfaction.

Are you satisfied today? If you are satisfied, O.K. If you are not satisfied, come to satisfaction through God. So not only here, but in everything, in all the different walks of life, they want that one word, satisfaction. Without satisfaction, man and human beings would never live in this world.

You do your work in the office; every morning you go to the office and work another man’s job. He gives you to type, he gives you to do some work. Come home in the afternoon, eat something, then go again to your job; come home in the evening, fully tired. I know what office work is. They will take the life out of you. When you come back home ... whew! Thirty days you will work for twenty eight days. Every day, you go to work and at the end of the month, you slowly go here and there to smell when is the salary coming. And then somebody says, "Today is pay day". You are getting the spirit now, Pay-day spirit. You know there are many kinds of spirit. There is a pay day spirit. That is different.

Then our names are called when our salary time comes. Here Brother, here sister, your salary. When that comes, say ..... "Oh!", you feel big. You forget the thirty days of pain. Thirty days of hard work, you forget it. This money, this salary you say, this is my hard-earned income. I earned it very hard. And with this money, you go home. You are a big man in the home. "Hey, come on man! We go marketing". That day is special .... marketing .... buy everything, and you will give your children all nice dress, everything, and come back home. Then again the pain starts, second day, third day, fourth day, twenty eight days, like going around and around and around ..... same routine. We don’t like our job, but we will do it. I was in the office; go in the mornings, can’t do any home-work, going back to work, come back, do something in the routine. Just like denominations, Christmas, Easter, New Year, Christimas, Easter, New Year for all eternity. Christ was not born on Christmas day. That was the Baal day ..... and they say Christmas day. And you know what the devil does? He even doesn’t want the name Jesus Christ to put on the Christmas. X, X-mas. Happy X-mas to you, without Christ. He has cut the Christ also there, calls it X-mas. I said, where they get this X-mas? And we say Happy X-mas; what is the meaning of that? Man without Christ. And the devil is very careful, he will root out everything with that name. That is why he said, Father, a Son, and a Holy Ghost, Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

When Bro. Austin and I were travelling from Chicago, when that Brother got into the car and opened the Bible and said: What is the name of your God? I said: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. He laughed. I am the son of my father, I am the father of my son, I am the husband to my wife. Suppose Bro. Larry Smith comes to the platform and says: Now here is father, son and husband. How would you feel? He will say here is Bro. Lawrie. So the devil has fooled everybody. Pentecost people, everybody placed out of the church because they don’t have a name. Thank God, He brought us to His name, the revelation of that name. Is that all? Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? Has God filled you with the Holy Ghost? That is an important factor because that is the token. Without that, you will never make it up. If you do not have oil, go to your room, pray night and day, "Lord, fill me". Get two or three together, seek God, ask Him: "Lord, what is the secret?" He will speak to you directly my friends. He will talk to you many times. Our God is not dead. Only thing is He wants us to BELIEVE AND SEE. And we want to SEE AND BELIEVE.

Suppose somebody gives me ten dollars and says: "Bro. Lawrie, do you believe?" I will believe. You give a child and say: Child, do you believe you have ten dollars? She will say, yes it is here. But suppose I say, I believe there is ten dollars in the name of Jesus, that ten dollars come right in the hand. That is real! You can stop trains, buses, everything. They cannot go leaving you. I know many times, I will be late for the bus and I say: "Lord, don’t allow that bus to go". That bus never goes - many times, not just one time. One day, I said: "Lord, stop the bus". I never asked for a seat. So when I went to the bus, the conductor said: "No seat". Then I said: "I want a seat, Lord". Then one man got off the bus and I got the seat. I believe.
